I thought the second case you said is Larry's intention. i.e. 13 is roughly and dynamic.

Here, 1 (1) 4 = splinter. But in the article “Majors opening part 2”, all new suit jump = weak (In Comp.)

So I feel that the simple way does not necessarily have no memory burden, fit showing jump may be easier to remember.

In the LC standard, I have only one place need to understand:
VS weak NT, X=13+, system on.

I think it's a good idea, but what if advancer doesn't have value & long suit? Say, she holds 3=3=3=4 and 4 HCP. Since system on, she should pass. But pass means leave it in, that's not what she meant. What should she do?

I have understood:
1-1NT-2 = raise to 2NT but no spade stopper.
1-1NT-2-2N = to club.
1-1NT-2-3 = suit, non-forcing
