Wow different spelling (color or colour) on 2 sides of the Atlantic Ocean also known as the pond. Also convenient to find those coveted gold or platinum points.

It's a bit difficult because one year some dual members made more than a cameo appearance in Dallas (spring NABCs) and then went to play ABA spring national in Las Vegas that year. I don't remember many overlapping days that time.
As for Grade A's they are annual events and more like ACBL sectionals. It is much harder to win the annual William A Friend master point race in ABA than it is to win the Barry Crane top 500 race.

Not a problem. Won't suggest the NCAA anymore.

What would it take for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to include bridge as a sport?

Is the event offering the gold, silver and bronze medals? If not, most wouldn't mind the third place tie.

Thanks John. That's what I always liked about the unit next door.

Has anyone ever suggested a modified round robin (in lieu of the Sunday Swiss teams) in a regional? The round robin assures Flight A players play in one section and Flight B players in another section.

By quant do you mean “quantitative?” Cannot be a model by that name. (Mary Quant in London)

If that was the open pairs event, the field would have been stratified or flighted. The new players would have had their own separate section. If you played in the modified round robin flight A and flight B and flight C would have played in their own respective sections.
Regarding the boards that you duplicated (probably pairs) I can't answer that question. You must have played in Doyle Branch tournament and hope you can also play at home regional.

Make that if you don't need any more gold points.

Hi Ed. I do remember negative doubles were started in 1957.

Seems a bit doubtful to preempt with King-empty. I usually like 2 of top 3 in first or second seat.
