Would this bring in new players? Please comment per our conversation Mr. Moese

Many urban areas run year-long double KOs (or similar). The formats only slightly differ- play roughly one match per month, as mutually convenient. And eliminate as you go. At the same time many college and high school players and wannabes virtually never make the trip to the local bridge club because the games are during school times or far away or the crowd is too old.

However the double KO format would be much more accommodating of youth- especially if entry fees were waived or reduced for first-timers and active outreach was made to the schools.

In NYC, for example, we never see the many Columbia U players save for the GNTCs, once a year.

I believe inviting these and other students into the friendly but challenging team format might be an opening.
