Nearing retirement, revisiting my beloved bridge after a 15 year or so layoff for career and studies.  I like 2/1, strong club, am learning strong club with positive transfers, Fantunes 2-bids, and am interested in Polish Club.

A story from the weak club -2
fun story!
1NT Openers With Singleton Honors
Interesting; consider a partnership where the first partner (me) thinks transfers are off but responder thinks they are on: If I psyched 1nt with a void instead of singleton, and my partner (with say a heart void) transfers me into spades, and I pass, we could end up in a ...

1NT Openers With Singleton Honors

In the Well: Eddie Wold
When playing strong club, do you prefer to use transfer responses? I like the idea of 1C then 1D and 1H being transfers and 1S being weak, but have also played 1C-1D weak and 1H for spades etc; any comments? Fantunes (which a pard and I tried) use (sorry 'used ...

has there been an ACBL tournament recently?
Great point John, in fact I wouldn't mind hearing a bit more about the atmosphere, stories, and interactions at some of the other tournaments, especially England and the Continent. I'm hoping this globablization of bridge tournaments will educate us all in new systems, approaches, etc. even if we ...
