If Larry Cohen has a book on the entry level that would be good. His beginning—intermediate column in The Bulletin is so good and enlightening. My favorite of all is Truscott’s Bid Better, Play Better. Adopted her evaluation technique years ago, still joy

Unless changed, there was once a time when players could bar kibitzers. Haven’t kibitzed in a while but most world class players were either invisible or didn’t allow kibs. Things may have changed. I usually found that the kibs policed themselves. Smart arsed ones put down fast.

Probably discussed earlier, but some people can’t sit still or hold their hands still. I’ve known players who jiggle their legs constantly as well as pullcard out,put face down, put back in hand, repeat, wiggle on chair, etc. annoying in the extreme.
