Bridge Information

Favorite Bridge Memory
My favorite bridge memory has to do with a decision to give back to bridge, and the local bridge community through my time and tallent, which I believe has impacted very favorably Bridge in Wichita Kansas. I am especially proud of the work of Richard holmes, David Kopper, Ron Traut, Roger Sites, and the Bridge Board lead by Charles Wiggins which I believe have done a remarkable job of giving back to bridge in Wichita - the Wichita bridge community has been remarkable in effort and effectiveness, and I am crazy enough to see that positive energies are connected towards success.
Bridge Accomplishments
Have represented District 15 in several GNP and GNT games and have placed a few times.
Regular Bridge Partners
Tom Alison on BBO and David Erickson in live ACBL games.
Favorite Conventions
My favorite convention is puppet stayman, & I have very few partners that play this convention.

Always a Bridesmaid
Cute hand but I personally hate this hand. Left hand opponent painlessly without enough thought leads his fourth best club, and therefore is assumed to have the queen of diamonds and the 3rd spade (No squeeze without the 3rd spade). Plus the defense - if defending perfectly should still beat this ...
Dean Pokorny's bidding problem: Q7532 --- K7 KT8654
I will bid our 4 clubs (why play a two suit overcall if your not going to make it)? I assume 4 clubs is non forcing as in competitive - with a good hand you would double or cue bid (Michaels).
