ACBL Dues Revenue Flow: Bad for Recruitment
Another thing: the cornerstone of competitive play is not the tournament but the club. A lot of players in my unit can't play tournaments or choose not to play. We enjoy getting the bridge bulletin every month regardless.

Chris, that's what we do in the American Bridge Association. We make our checks payable to our club (for calendar year) and the club secretary forwards the national dues to the Atlanta Headquarters.
What event would you play in?
Oh yes, since Machlin Pairs fell on Friday, July the 5th I couldn't get that day off as too many colleagues wanted that day off. Played with Louise the day afterwards.
