(1M)-1NT-transfers to the M...
I play this as 5crd m and 4crd oM with INV+. After e.g. (1H) - 1NT - (p) - 2D now 2S is simply 4crd S, 2NT asks the minor
Youp Caris's lead problem: KJT543 T 853 Q73
Ah, that last bit is where our difference is coming from. I would not double 3H with my hand but I would with your hand, indicating a weaker suit
Youp Caris's lead problem: KJT543 T 853 Q73
With what hand would you expect partner to want a spade lead, can you construct one? I have an example of my power dbl: x AKJxxx Axx Jxx
Youp Caris's lead problem: KJT543 T 853 Q73
As I said above to Gregory, pass on 3NT being heart lead and dbl asking for a spade is aiming for a too small target imo. Partner more often has a hand with which he expects 3NT to go down by pure strength than specifically requesting a spade lead. With ...

It might be a matter of agreement, as I mentioned below dbl on 3H being a weaker suit has my preference. If you would instead dbl to ensure the heart lead then I agree a spade is what partner wants. I agree 3H is usually played as indicating a stopper ...
Youp Caris's lead problem: KJT543 T 853 Q73
I didn't have a specific agreement yet for dbl on 3H with partner, however after asking him we had similar thoughts, dbl being a weaker suit. Personally I am not sure whether a spade or a heart would be the 'normal' lead if partner would have passed 3NT, his ...
